  • The Acting Rector of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Mr Kehinde Adeyemi Alabi, has assured staff and students of the Institution of his unflinching commitment to their welfare.

    The Acting Rector stated this while giving his new year message during the Inter-religious prayers organised by the management to herald the new year in the Polytechnic.
    The Acting Rector maintained that the welfare of staff and students would be given a priority in his administration.
    He urged the staffers to uphold their values of hardwork, deligence and commitment to duties to upgrade the standard of the Institution in all ramifications.
    He thanked all members of the Management, Deans of Faculties, all the Directors, HODs and all members of Staff for their support and cooperation so far. He urged them to give value to hard work and put in concerted efforts at upgrading the values and ethics of the Institution.
    He tasked them to embrace peace, love and unity, saying the recent change in the Institution was a divine wish of the Lord.
    While giving his vote of thanks, the Acting Registrar, Mr Abiodun Oloyede charged the staff to maintain the sanctity in the discharge of their duties. He enjoined them to be punctual and keep to the ethics guiding their work.

  • As people all over the world celebrate the new year festival, the Acting Rector, Osun State Polytechnic Iree, Mr. Kehinde Adeyemi Alabi has charged members of the Polytechnic Community to re-dedicate themselves to the services of God and humanity, just as the Acting Registrar, Mr Abiodun Oyedele Oloyede says the Institution re-opens tomorrow.

    Mr. Alabi in a New Year message to the Polytechnic Community congratulates the management, staff and students of the Institution, saying “I welcome you all to a New Year of Divine Hope”

    Mr Alabi charged the entire members of the Polytechnic Community to love one another, be diligent in their services and re-enact their sense of commitment to duties.

    The Acting Rector also used the medium to commend the Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke on the series of his welfarist Programmes packaged for the entire civil servants in the state in the outgone year, saying “the Governor has really brought succour to the people of the state.” He also noted that the series of developmental programmes, especially road constructions, embarked upon by the Governor are manifestations of his love for inhabitants of the state. He prayed that God would continue to strengthen him in his efforts to paddle the canoe of the State to a safe harbour.

    In a related development, the Acting Registrar of the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Mr Abiodun Oyedele Oloyede has declared that administrative and academic activities would commence in the Polytechnic tomorrow, 2nd January, 2024. He urged members of staff to be on their duty posts, as lectures would also start immediately in all departments of the Institution .

    Mr. Oloyede said all the students are expected to resume immediately, except those in the ND 2 Full Time who are currently on their Students Work Industrial Experience (SIWES).

    Mr. Oloyede also urged the newly admitted students in ND 1 and those in HND 1 who have not completed their screening exercises to ensure that they report at the Admissions Office and their respective Faculties for prompt completion of the registration before 10th of January after which they might forfeit their offer of admission for 2023/2024 Academic Session.

  • The Acting Rector of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Mr. Kehinde Alabi has felicitated the entire polytechnic community on the celebration of Christmas, just as he charges members to emulate the holiness of Christ.
    Mr. Alabi in a statement he personally signed described Christmas as a celebration that signifies peace, love, humility, humility and salvation as manifested in the immaculate conception and birth of Jesus Christ.
    Mr. Alabi urged the entire polytechnic community to emulate the inherent features of love, obedience, service to humanity, commitment, loyalty and dedication that manifested in the mysteries of the birth of the Lord.
    While reiterating his commitment to revigurate the Institution’s academic standard, he charged the people to use this period to pray for the Governor of the state in his efforts to paddle the canoe of the State to a safe harbour.
    The Acting Rector also commended Governor Adeleke for the provision of succour to inhabitants of the state through his people oriented programmes.

  • Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree has commenced the sales of the Admission Application Form for the Daily Part Time Programmes of the Institution .
    A release by Acting Registrar of the Institution, Mr Abiodun Oloyede states that the form is sold for a sum of N20,000 only.

    The form can be obtained on the Institution’s website: ospoly.edu.ng

    The National Diploma courses are available in the Faculties of; Engineering, Science, Environmental Studies, Information and Communication Technology, Arts and Industrial Design, Financial Studies and Management Studies.

    To qualify for the OSPOLY DPT programme, candidates must have registered on the Part Time Portal of JAMB. The candidate must also have 5 Credits O’Level Passes including English and Mathematics.

  • As the students of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, are about concluding their examinations, the Management of the Institution has warned the final year students against” Sign Out” formalities that may lead to violence , saying perpetrators would be disciplined.


    This is contained in a release signed by the Acting Registrar of the Institution, Mr Abiodun Oyedele Oloyede.
    Mr. Oloyede maintained that any student caught in the act would be made to face the wrath of law by being tried at Students Disciplinary.
    The Registrar also warned against unathorised vehicular movements into the school premises.
    The statement stated that” “any student caught as perpetrators of the ‘Sign Out’ ceremonies or moving into the campus with any vehicle would be dealt with. Cars and Motorcycles are not allowed into the premises of the Institution. Anybody who flouts this directive may have his or her certificate revoked” ,the statement added .

  • The Head of Mass Communication Department in Osun State Polytechnic Iree, Dr. Idowu Akinrosoye has disclaimed Mr Ademola Kasali, saying “he is not a staff in my Department”

    Dr Akinrosoye in a memo to Management of the Institution states that “the attention of Mass Communication Department, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree has been drawn to a trending video on Social Media linking One Mr. Ademola Kasali to the Department as a Part-Time Lecturer. The Department wishes to inform members of the public that Mr. Kasali is not a Staff of our Department and he is not known to the Management of the Polytechnic, and there is no basis linking him to Osun State Polytechnic, Iree.”

    Dr. Akinrosoye urged Security Department in the Polytechnic to watch out for him by denying him entrance into the campus, stressing that Mr Kasali does not have business with the polytechnic and the Department.

    It would be recalled that the said Mr Kasali earlier in the week was alleged to have sexually assaulted a female student of the Institution which led to his apprehension by some concerned youths in the Iree community.

  • Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree has directed all the newly admitted students(ND and HND) for the 2023/2024 Academic Session to resume on Monday 27th November, 2023 to commence their registrations forthwith.

    A release signed by the Ag.Registrar of the Institution, Mr Abiodun Oyedele Oloyede stated that all those admitted into the National Diploma Programme of the Institution through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and those who have been offered provisional admission into the Higher National Diploma (HND)programmes of the Polytechnic are to resume immediately and commence their screenings and registrations.

    The Ag. Registrar directed the new National Diploma students to resume at the Admission Unit of the Polytechnic with photocopies and original copies of their Admission Letter, O’Level Result(s) and other credentials as displayed at the admission’s office.

    Those who had been offered admission for the Higher National Diploma Programme are enjoined to go for the screening with their, Admission Letter, evidence of payment of Acceptance Fee, Ordinary Level Result (s); NECO/WAEC/NABTEB, National Diploma Result, a year Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) Report and other necessarily credentials.
    The statement added that the new students should also proceed to their respective Faculties for full registration after their screening at the Admissions Office and payment of the prescribed fees.
    The students have up till Friday 15th December, 2023 to complete their registration formalities after which they may forfeit the offer of provisional admission.
    The polytechnic management therefore called on parents and guardians to ensure that their wards keep to these directives and resume promptly.

  • The palace of Elere of Ere-Ijesa, Oriade Local Government area of Osun State will be lightened up with a pump and pageant ceremony on 30thNovember, 2023, when a former Head of West African Examination Council (WAEC) in Nigeria, Elder Olutise Isaac Adenipekun and his wife, Christiana Aduke Adenipekun would be conferred with chieftaincy titles in the ancient town of Ere-Ijesa in Osun State .

    While Elder Tise would be conferred with the title of High Chief Aro of Ere-Ijesa, his wife, Aduke would be honored as the Yeyeluwa of Ere-ijesa.

    The conferment of the titles would be carried out by His Royal Majesty Oba Augustine Alowolodu III, the Elere of Ere-Ijesa .
    Aro is one of the six highest chieftaincy stools that make up the ‘Iwarefa’ (kingmakers) and constitutes the highest ruling body of Elere-in-Council.

    Among the eminent personalities expected at the ceremony are the Traditional Rulers, Captains of Industries, illustrious sons and daughters of Ere-Ijesa, as well as heads of government parastatals and political functionaries .

    Sir Ademola Aladekomo, the Chairman/CEO of Charms Communications will be the Chairman of the occasion.
    Other highlights of the day include cultural dance and entertainment.

    As part of its charity and humanitarian tenets for the year 2023, the Ado–Ekiti Unique Lions Club on Tuesday donated a modern Bore Hole to Esa-Odo community in Obokun Local Council Development Area of Osun State as their year 23/24 Legacy project.

    It would be recalled that Lions Club International had earlier donated four of such Bore Holes to various quarters of Ilare, the Headquarters of Obokun East Local Council Development Area and Otan-Ile, also in the Local Government.

    In a related development, the Club, in 2022 donated series of farm implements and seedlings to over 500 farmers in Ilare to improve their productivities.

    The projects facilitated by Engr. Oyedeji Olajubu, kjw, the Asiwaju of Ilare were to alleviate the hardships of inhabitants of the communities in getting potable water that would improve their welfare.

    The President of the Ado–Ekiti Unique Lions Club, Prince Sola Aregbesola, while presenting the Bore Hole in Esa-Odo stated that “one who offers water, offers life”, noting that the Lions Club is committed to service to humanity by provision of charitable things that could improve the lives of the people.

    While reacting on behalf of the Esa-Odo people, Mr. Julius Fadare, Mrs Funke Fadare and Mrs Alaba Odubiyi who unanimously expressed their appreciation to the Club promised to make good use of the Bore Hole. They exclaimed that “the Bore Hole was donated to the community at an appropriate time,” when it was needed most, saying that “lack of potable water had been one of the major problems confronting the people of the community.”
    They particularly thanked Asiwaju Oyedeji Olajubu kjw for his hospitality and love for the people of the community.

  • The Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree has declared that the first batch of admission list of applicants into the 2023/2024 National Diploma (ND) Programme of the Institution has been released.
    This followed the Post UTME screening conducted for the applicants about two weeks ago.

    A statement by the Acting Registrar of the Institution, Mr. Abiodun Oloyede urged those who applied for the ND Programmes of the Polytechnic to check their admission status on website of the Institution; ospoly.edu.ng, to afford them the opportunity of paying the Acceptance Fee before 1st December, 2023.

    The statement reads: “This is to inform the general public, especially candidates who sought admission for the ND programme of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), that the first batch of admission list for the programme has been released.

    “Consequently, all concerned candidates, who participated in the Post UTME screening of the Institution, are to proceed to ospoly.edu.ng to check their admission status and also proceed to the JAMB Portal to accept their offer of admission, while a sum of N30,000 Acceptance Fee should be paid into account of the Institution.”

    The Registrar maintained that any candidate who refuses to pay the Acceptance Fee before 1st December, shall forfeit the offer of provisional admission.

    “Any candidate who refuses to accept the offer of provisional admission on or before 1st December, 2023 shall be deemed to have forfeited the offer of admission and those on the waiting list shall be considered,” the statement said.
