    The  Director for contact and Mobilization of
    National Assocation of Nigerian Students (NANS) zone D Southwest, Comr. Olanrewaju Stephen O. OLAN’S has warned against  illegal impostors which are are alledged of disrupting the peace of the Students’ Union of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree.

    In his words, he said “Kindly stay away from their illegal activities, the legitimate NANS ZONE D under the leadership of Com. Tegbe is highly up on this matter and all quarters are carried along already and immediate action will commence once the school resumes by January”.

    Earlier, I have been on this matter for a while and since the management have decided to take actions of students matter to be their prioritized duty, I think we will respectfully remind them of our different places in the OSPOLY community.

    And all efforts are in place to phantom best solution to the OSPOLY union matter than relenting on the demanding for a caretaker already choosing by the school management!

    Kindly disregard their confused compilation ! And any illegitimate NANS Officials are banned from the OSPOLY community. To be fore warned is to be fully armed, he added.

    He hereby wish all Nigerian Students on behalf of NANS Zone D, Happy Festive season and happy new year in advance.


  • The Rector, Osun State Polytechnic Iree, Dr. Woye Olaniran has felicitated with members of Management, Staff and Students of the Institution, charging them to emulate the virtues embedded in the birth of Christ .

    Dr Olaniran in a release he personally signed ,identified humility and love for humanity as the inherent lessons contained in the birth of Christ and celebration of Christmas.


    According to him, “in celebrating the Christmas, we should learn from the fruits of humility and love of the fellow human beings. These are the qualities that reflected in the unselfish nature of Jesus Christ who was born by the Blessed Virgin Mary with her immaculate conception.


    ” Therefore, I urge you to live in purity and love one another as Christ loves the world in your celebration of Christmas which signifies the birth of the Lord.”


    The Rector also enjoined the Polytechnic Community to use the season to pray for the Institution, Osun State and Nigeria at large.

    Following the irregularities that riddled the conduct of the Students Union Election of Osun State Polytechnic Iree that was held on 24th November, 2021for the 2021/2022 academic session,
    Management of the Institution has put in place a Caretaker Committee that would administer the union to prevent a vacuum.


    A statement by Registrar of the Institution, Mr. Busari Salawu Esq states that ” at its meeting of Tuesday 21st December 2021, the Top Management Committee considered the report and noted that the election was characterised by violence, anomalies and other reports including that of the ISIEC Chairman, Temiye Oluwatobi Aanu declared it not credible.


    ” Based on the above, it was approved that a Caretaker Committee would be inaugurated to manage the affairs of the Students Union Government for the meantime”, the statement read.

  • The Nigerian Students And Youths Association (NISAYA) Osun State Axis inaugurated its’ pioneer executives on Thursday, 16th of December, 2021. The program which started at noon lasted for 2 hours and came to an end at around 2 pm.

    The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Students Affairs and Socio-Mobilization, Comrade Kehinde Ayantunji in his word on behalf of the Osun State Governor said, ‘the government is going to bolster the association and it’s a piece of good news that the inauguration program is already on the Governor’s manifest. The State Government is ready to make provisions for standardizing the association for efficiency and effectiveness.

    The South West Coordinator of Nigerian Students And Youths Association NISAYA Comrade Olaseinde Adeyinka Williams (Sir Newton), who also represented the National President in the occasion charged all the newly Executives to be proactive in their doings and also to ensure they make use of the platform they are holding judiciously. He assured the State Executives of the National support as well as the Zonal support. In his statement, he said, ‘the Youths needs a platform to showcase their leadership fitness and that is why NISAYA has to make provision for the young people to build themselves and make an impact in the development of the Nation’.

    In the Acceptance Speech of the State President, Comrade Akande Michael, O he said, ‘my administration will see to ensure the active participation of Youths and Students in State politics as it is time for us to take charge and make an impact.’

    He also assured the general public that the association will be having different agendas asides from the other associations that have been in existence before now. The priority of NISAYA is to foster the development of Youths and Students.

    He thanked everyone for making their way to graced the occasion and challenged all the Directors to be of good motive as the works begin with immediate effect.

    Moreover, the State Executives were given the Certificate of Inauguration as 25-men were inaugurated to siphon the affairs of the association being the pioneer executives of the association.

    Management of Osun State Polytechnic Iree has said that students of the Institution will resume for 2021/2022 academic session on Monday 13th December,2021.
    A statement by Registrar of the Institution, Mr Busari Salawu Esq states that “the newly admitted candidates into the Year 1, Full Time Programme of National Diploma (ND1) Students are expected to resume on the 13th December to commence the new academic session.”


    The release adds that all the newly admitted candidates into the ND1 through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) are expected to resume for their screening exercise at the Admission Unit of the Institution promptly.
    The Registrar added that the new students should also commence payment of their school fees to enable them have assess to the Institution’s portal for their full registration of studentship.


    He stressed that any admitted candidate who refuses to resume and go for the screening and commence his/registration within the stipulated period may forfeit the offer of the Provisional Admission.


    The ND candidates, according to the release are urged to go for the screening with the original copy of their Ordinary Level Result of WAEC, NECO or NABTEB, JAMB Result Slip, Admission Letter, Birth Certificate , Three Year Tax Clearance and Certificate of Students Industrial Work Experience (SIWES).

    Ospoly Campus

    Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has released the Admission list of applicants into the Full Time National Diploma (ND) Programmes of the Institution for the 2021/2022 Academic Session.


    A release signed by Registrar of the Polytechnic, Mr. Busari Salawu urged all those who participated in the Post UTME screening of the Institution to log into the Institution’s website on ospoly.edu.ng, and click on the student portal, and continue with their Registration after payment of their Acceptance Fee.


    The Registrar urged all the admitted students to pay their Acceptance Fee of Twenty Thousand Naira with their ATM card of any Bank on the institution’s portal before 18th December, 2021.


    He warned that any candidate who fails to pay the acceptance fee before the stipulated date may forfeit the offer of the Admission.

  • Mass Communication Alumni of Osun State Polytechnic Iree (MAOS) has re-emphacized the need to continue to award scholarships to best students of Mass Communication Department, Osun State Polytechnic Iree.

    This was disclosed by the National Publicity Secretary of the Alumni Association, Adekunle Sikiru (Abacus) while speaking with campus journalists in Osogbo.

    According to him, MAOS as an Alumni Association of Mass Communication Graduates of Ospolyiree has members across the globe including USA, Canada and Australia and have been given back to society that made them.

    This according to him made MAOS to associate with Students of the department whenever the need arises.

    The Association has commenced the process on the 2021 Scholarship awards for best students in the department which would enable students in ND1 & ND 2 full time and DPT and HND1 & HND 2 to benefit from this laudable program.

    The presentation of cash and scholarship awards to the students is expected to hold on December 27 during the Association’s AGM in Lagos.

    The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, has said investment in knowledge acquisition is very rewarding.

    The monarch, who said this in Ibadan on Sunday while addressing students of the Lead City University at the 14th convocation said some people believed that he was using juju to recall accurately dates and events.

    Oba Adeyemi said he was not using any supernatural power to have sharp memory but was able to recall dates because of his massive investment in developing his mental capacity.

    He urged Nigerians to invest in human capacity development, saying he deliberately invested in developing his capacity because he wanted to be a very good public speaker due to his position.

    The monarch said he spent 12 years as the Chancellor of Sokoto State University now known as Usman Dan Fodio University.

    He added that he personally sponsored 200 indigent students in the university while he was the chancellor.

    Alaafin said, “When I was in Usman Dan Fodio University, I single-handedly, as Chancellor, sponsored 200 indigent students to study courses of their choice.

    “If you empty your pocket and out it on your head, that is a good investment. Anywhere I speak in the world, remembering dates, times and events, people thought I was using kube. Do you know what is called kube? People though i was using juju because my brain is sharp.

    “But it’s because I want to be a master in public speaking. Whatever you want in life and you put your mind there and ask God to do it for you, He will do it for you.”

    The Vice Chancellor of the Lead City University, Prof. Kabiru Adeyemo, said in his address that the university had become one of the most preferred institutions in Nigeria due to diligence and hard work of his management team and the governing council of the institution.
