    One of the longest-serving national legislators since the return of democracy in 1999 is the Esa-Oke born House of Representatives member,
    representing Ijesa-North Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber, Honourable Busayo Oluwole Oluwole Oke.
    It has been said in many fora that Oke ought to be something of value in Osun politics to have remained relevant in the National Assembly since 1999 and still counting. A public affairs analyst recently put
    this argument succinctly by writing that “Osun has come under governance of different political parties – the Peoples Democratic
    Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) – at different times. Yet, he continues to get elected on the ticket of the PDP by the people of the constituency, irrespective of the party ruling in the state at that particular time. There must be something significant in that.”

    In the ongoing build-up to Saturday’s general elections, the gale of endorsements has begun for Honourable Oke again. Recently, he has got endorsement of traditional rulers, chiefs, retirees, artisans, youths
    and women from all the 22 wards in Ijesa-North Federal Constituency, consisting of Obokun and Oriade Local Government Areas of the state.
    The question is: What is Oke doing differently that makes him the toast of the electorate?
    At the event, the Ijebu-Ijesa Town Hall recently was full to capacity, chiefs across Obokun and Oriade took turns to pray for the electoral victory of Honourable Oke and passed a vote of confidence on him to
    continue representing the people of Ijesa North at the House of Representatives beyond 2023.

    Indeed, a particular community leader commented that there was hardly a household in Oriade and Obokun local governments which had not
    benefitted one thing or the other from Honourable Oke’s
    representation.
    The people eulogised what they called “the brilliant performance of Oke in the House.

    Some described the lawmaker as “a humble servant who is committed to
    going extra miles for the welfare of his constituents.”

    The constituents at different fora recently vowed to return him to continue his good deeds for the people.

    In his address in Ipetu-Ijesa on Monday and Ijebu-Jesa on Tuesday, Honourable Oke expressed appreciation for the support of the traditional rulers, market women, youths, artisans, farmers students and people from all walks of life since his inception in politics of Ijesa-North and promised to keep putting smiles on their faces with more dividends of democracy.

    He also promised to keep facilitating jobs for constituents and reiterated his accessibility to the people, adding that there would be frequent meetings and feedbacks.
    Oke has facilitated employments for over 2,000 people from all the wards in federal parastatas, ministries and agencies.

    He vowed to collaborate with the state governor in providing free medical services to the people of the constituency.
    Besides that, he has given scholarship to over 500 youths in Government Technical College, Ijebu-Ijesa with free meals and transportation for any child who showed willingness to enroll in the college.

    He has also supported artisans with cash grants to expand their various businesses,
    skills and trades.

    He, again, promised to continue giving scholarships, free meal and
    free transportation means to any constituent who showed readiness to enroll in Government Technical College, Ijebu-Ijesa, admonishing the
    constituents to embrace technical education “as it is a pathway for vocational developments and discovery of talents.”

    In his campaigns during the week, Honourable Oke disabused the minds of the people about “the erroneous notion” that he was committed to facilitating job only for the educated constituents and, thereby, neglecting artisans. He educated the congregation that for the economic advancement of the federal constituency, securing job for the educated constituents would be for the betterment of all and sundry and bringing economic growth
    to all.

    A trained economist and chattered accountant and Lawyer, he is the one competent to represent the Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in the Saturday election. He should be given the mandate again to continue giving succour to lives of the people.

  • I want to express disappointment over the developmental neglect in most part of Osun Central senatorial district for years now , the poor state of affairs in the country and with determination to contribute a significant quota in order to pull senatorial district,the state as a whole and the entire country, out of the abyss of hopelessness in which they have wallowed over the years.

    Osun state people, civil organizations, civil servants, market men and woman have clearly proven in the last gubernatorial elections that produced Governor-elect, Sen Ademola Adeleke to be more logical in dealing with what make up there public officers compare to the once we use to have in years back.

    2023 is fast approaching,we all focus on Presidency, readers will agree with me that politics is local,it is high time we redirect our focus to those positions that makes and formulate our policies behind politics,those positions that makes law for both rich and poor,though some believe laws and order are only effective on poor class. Furthermore,Telling,character,performer,reformer,Economy buster,Educational oriented,public conduct and God fearing personified representative is what will lack in the last few years in Osun central senatorial District and without this attribute development may not see the order of the day. Away from partisan view, we all know the state of development,social intervention, educational intervention, empowerment e.t.c in Osun central in the last 3 and half years, and we equally know the score card of our senator is this axis is not far from failure. No soothsayer or foreteller to tell us that we new a fresh ideas and change of hands in Governance.

    Reasons Elections is designed in a periodically way is to give citizens another chance to determine there future,there children future,redemption is development and social amenities that will make life bearable for them.Risk taking In 2023 can worsen the situation of this country, we need people who have a turnaround plans to fix culpability where culpability belongs, someone with a lot of ideas that can revamp the sinking economy situation, educational situation,infrastructure,developmental prowess .

    More so, Eradication of unemployment and poverty and majorly who can bring solutions to tackle insecurity from the Angle of legislative at the National Assembly.

    Why do we need change of hand in Osun central in 2023;

    √Making laws for Common people.

    √Rapidly advancement of infrastructure development, especially roads,schools,health facilities.

    √Providing an excellent environment for businesses to thrive,

    √Taking the agriculture revolution to the next level especially mechanization and developing the farm to table value chain.

    √Making sure that the government, its agencies and regulators serve the business community in the axis.

    √Creating a Tech economy that will provide jobs for youths;

    √Enhancing our Social Investment Programme to a full scale social welfare scheme.

    √Investing hugely on Entrepreneurship as a means of poverty Elevation scheme.

    All this aforementioned reasons are why we need change of hand in Governance in Osun central senatorial District is the major part of Exclusive plans of Ajagunnla Olubiyi Fadeyi,people Democratic Party candidate,Osun central senatorial District.

    In my short interactive session with Ajagunnla Olubiyi Fabiyi,I ask him few questions related to his ambition like;

    What is motivating AJAGUNNLA political aspiration this time around?

    In the process I have this undoubtable trust that his a Politician par Excellence that as a vision to transform this country and also passionate about contributing immensely to any genuine effort or process of moving Nigeria forward. Every day, events in the country remind me that we are light years behind our counterparts like Singapore for example. However, we are of the firm belief that good leadership can trigger a different leadership pattern in Nigeria – an industrial revolution that will tap into the high energy level of our youths, a boom in the Agro industry that will ensure that the produce of our mothers are valued 20 folds more than they are today, a reformed petroleum sector that will make events like fuel scarcity and lack of access to gas powered electricity history in our land. Yes, we can collectively improve the security situation in our country, revamp social life and turn around the economy and keep our children from the drive to risk their lives for greener pastures in places like Libya and other parts of the world.

    ‘’However, going forward, I see a leadership void in Nigeria and as a result, I have declared my intentions to represent the good people of Osun Central Senatorial District, other Nigerians in different parts of the country and the new generation of Nigerian youth most of who are still struggling with the decision to come out of their shells to lead Nigeria. The Nigerian youth must not only be good for votes, my message to them is that ‘the Time is Now’ for them to be voted into political offices’’.

    I’m sure AJAGUNNLA is resolute towards re-writing the Nigerian story for the good of all. Obviously, He recognise that the task ahead will be quite daunting but we must be reminded that our generation has lost it all to years of waste and restlessness. He need their support to rescue some remaining fragments for our children and then we must school them to ensure that their own children save it all for the ones that will follow. This is why he’s using this opportunity to appeal to members of the fourth estate of the realm to support this worthwhile course by sending out the message that he’s today. We must ensure that every young Nigerian is sensitised for this noble course of nation building. We are not asking for a violent resolution; we are demanding for a clear direction to economic development, more employments and wealth creation in our country.
